GiziMap produces a superb series of road maps for Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe, such as Silk Road, and other numerous Central Asia republics as well as several Eastern European countries.
The road maps are without the elevation shading, but with shaded relief and spot heights. The lack of elevation shading makes the place names and roads stand out against the background and thus are easier to read.
The maps show main roads, railways, shipping routes and airports. Distances between road intersections are shown on the map, as are mountain passes with their elevation. National parks and main administrative boundaries are shown and symbols tourist sites and services as campsites, winter sport resorts and historical monuments.
Map language is typically in English, Hungarian, and the local language, such as Tibetan, Chinese or Arabic.
